H.S.B. 225  Environmental Protection 

Relating to a review of water quality standards by the department of 
natural resources, enforcement of effluent ammonia limits during the 
review period, and providing an effective date.
H.S.B. 226  Local Government 
Creating an adult mental health, mental retardation, and 
developmental disabilities services funding decategorization pilot 
project and providing an appropriation.
H.S.B. 227  Judiciary 
To extend the jurisdiction of the juvenile court to include adoption 
and termination of parental rights proceedings.
H.S.B. 228  Judiciary
Relating to the department of corrections by providing for purchases 
from Iowa prison industries, the establishment of reserve peace 
officers by judicial district departments of correctional services, the 
applicability of occupational health and safety provisions to inmate 
workers, the establishment of a criminal offense for attempts to 
escape, the crediting of time served by inmates, inmate work program 
agreements, the revolving farm fund, and deductions from inmate 
work program earnings, and making penalties applicable.
H.S.B. 229  Judiciary
Relating to nonprofit corporations and providing an effective date.
H.S.B. 230  Human Resources
Establishing a governor's award for quality care in health care 
facilities.
H.S.B. 231  Local Government
Relating to the Iowa community empowerment Act and related 
provisions, and providing an effective date.
