The House met pursuant to adjournment at 8:55 a.m., Speaker 
Corbett in the chair.
Prayer was offered by Father Jerry Kopacek, pastor of St. Mary's 
Church, Marshalltown.
The Journal of Tuesday, February 9, 1999 was approved.
SPECIAL PRESENTATION
The Valley Singers from Valley High School, West Des Moines, 
directed by James Cacciatore, performed in the House chamber.  
They are the National Grammy Signature for Music Education award 
winners for 1999. 
The House rose and expressed its appreciation.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
Leave of absence was granted as follows:
Gipp of Winneshiek on request of Rants of Woodbury. 
INTRODUCTION OF BILL
House File 254, by Larson, a bill for an act relating to the 
allocation of income of S corporations, partnerships, limited liability 
companies, sole proprietorships, and other business entities for the 
purpose of the state individual income tax and including a retroactive 
applicability date provision.
Read first time and referred to committee on ways and means.
