MESSAGE FROM THE SENATE
The following message was received from the Senate:
Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that the Senate has on 
January 20, 1999, passed the following resolution in which the concurrence of the 
House is asked:
Senate Joint Resolution 1, a joint resolution proposing amendments to the 
Constitution of the State of Iowa relating to the state budget by limiting state general 
fund expenditures and restricting certain state tax revenue changes.

TEACHER OF THE DAY
Representative Garman of Story presented to the House the  
teacher of the day award in memory of Genevieve Powers. She was a 
teacher at Washington #4, a rural one room school.
