  1  1    Section 1.  Section 455A.7, subsection 1, paragraph b, Code
  1  2 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1  3    b.  Forests and forestry prairies division which is
  1  4 responsible for administering programs relating to state
  1  5 forests, and forestry, and prairie management assistance to
  1  6 private and public landowners, and for the operation of the
  1  7 state nursery under section 456A.20.  
  1  8                           EXPLANATION
  1  9    This bill changes the name of the forests and forestry
  1 10 division of the department of natural resources to the forests
  1 11 and prairies division and expands its duties to includes
  1 12 administering programs for prairie management assistance to
  1 13 private and public landowners.
