PAG LIN 1 1 SENATE FILE 2416 1 2 1 3 AN ACT 1 4 RELATING TO ENERGY CONSERVATION INCLUDING MAKING APPROPRIATIONS 1 5 OF PETROLEUM OVERCHARGE FUNDS. 1 6 1 7 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA: 1 8 1 9 Section 1. There is appropriated from those funds 1 10 designated within the energy conservation trust created in 1 11 section 473.11, for disbursement pursuant to section 473.11, 1 12 to the following named agencies for the fiscal year beginning 1 13 July 1, 2000, and ending June 30, 2001, the following amounts, 1 14 or so much thereof as is necessary, to be used for the 1 15 purposes designated: 1 16 1. To the division of community action agencies of the 1 17 department of human rights for qualifying energy conservation 1 18 programs for low-income persons, including but not limited to 1 19 energy weatherization projects, which target the highest 1 20 energy users, and including administrative costs: 1 21 a. To be expended first from the office of hearings and 1 22 appeals second-stage settlement (OHA) fund and the 1 23 Warner/Imperial fund and the Diamond Shamrock fund and then 1 24 the Stripper Well fund: 1 25 .................................................. $ 350,000 1 26 b. To be expended from the Exxon fund: 1 27 .................................................. $ 40,000 1 28 2. To the department of natural resources for the 1 29 following purposes: 1 30 a. For the state energy program, from the Exxon fund: 1 31 .................................................. $ 60,000 1 32 b. For administration of petroleum overcharge programs 1 33 from the Stripper Well fund, not to exceed the following 1 34 amount: 1 35 .................................................. $ 150,000 2 1 Notwithstanding section 8.33, the unencumbered or 2 2 unobligated moneys remaining at the end of any fiscal year 2 3 from the appropriations made in subsections 1 and 2 shall not 2 4 revert but shall be available for expenditure during 2 5 subsequent fiscal years until expended for the purposes for 2 6 which originally appropriated. 2 7 2 8 2 9 2 10 MARY E.
