HOUSE STUDY BILL COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS
H.S.B. 778 Ways and Means
Providing that, for corporate income tax purposes, a corporation is not
doing business in this state by reason of the fact that it warehouses
property in this state and including an effective and applicability date
provision.
H.S.B. 779 Ways and Means
Relating to the accelerated career education program, providing a tax
credit from withholding, creating an accelerated career education
grant program and fund, relating to the transfer of job training
withholding to the workforce development fund account, and
providing an effective date.
COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS
MR. SPEAKER: The Chief Clerk of the House respectfully reports
that the following committee recommendations have been received
and are on file in the office of the Chief Clerk.

COMMITTEE ON APPROPRIATIONS
Senate File 2416, a bill for an act relating to energy conservation including
making appropriations of petroleum overcharge funds.
Fiscal Note is not required.
Recommended Do Pass March 28, 2000.
Senate File 2429, a bill for an act relating to and making appropriations to the
department for the blind, the Iowa state civil rights commission, the department of
elder affairs, the Iowa department of public health, the department of human rights,
the governor's alliance on substance abuse, and the commission of veterans affairs, and
providing effective dates and retroactive applicability provisions.
Fiscal Note is not required.
Recommended Do Pass March 28, 2000.
