1 1 Section 1. There is appropriated from the rebuild Iowa
1 2 infrastructure fund to the department of natural resources for
1 3 the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and ending June 30,
1 4 2001, the following amount, or so much thereof as is
1 5 necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
1 6 For recreational grants to be used for the restoration or
1 7 construction of recreational complexes or facilities under the
1 8 recreational grant matching program:
1 9 .................................................. $ 3,500,000
1 10 Matching grants awarded from the funds appropriated in this
1 11 section shall be awarded on a matching basis of one dollar for
1 12 every two dollars the applicant has raised.
1 13 The department shall give special consideration to
1 14 recreational complex or facility projects which involve public
1 15 and private sector participation.
1 16 EXPLANATION
1 17 This bill appropriates funds from the rebuild Iowa
1 18 infrastructure fund to the department of natural resources for
1 19 recreational grants to be used for the restoration or
1 20 construction of recreational complexes or facilities.
