1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. There is appropriated
1 2 from the general fund of the state to the department of
1 3 education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2000, and
1 4 ending June 30, 2001, the following amount, or so much thereof
1 5 as is necessary, to be used for the purposes designated:
1 6 For purposes of providing support to statewide school-to-
1 7 work implementation through professional development
1 8 opportunities, employability skill revalidation, partnership
1 9 capacity building, connecting to the department of workforce
1 10 development's making connections system, and the integration
1 11 of academic and vocational education:

1 13 EXPLANATION
1 14 This bill appropriates moneys from the general fund of the
1 15 state to the department of education for fiscal year 2000-2001
1 16 for purposes of providing support to statewide school-to-work
1 17 implementation through professional development, employability
1 18 skill revalidation, partnership capacity building, connecting
1 19 the department of workforce development's making connections
1 20 system, and integration of academic and vocational education.
