1 1 Section 1. REPORT. The department of natural resources
1 2 shall submit a report to the general assembly relating to
1 3 endangered and threatened fish, plants, and wildlife. The
1 4 report shall include a detailed description of the methodology
1 5 employed by the department in determining the species of fish,
1 6 plants, and wildlife on the state list of endangered and
1 7 threatened species under section 481B.3. The report shall
1 8 also include a list of any fish, plants, and wildlife
1 9 currently included on the state list. The report shall be
1 10 submitted to the general assembly by December 15, 2000.
1 11 EXPLANATION
1 12 This bill requires the department of natural resources to
1 13 submit a report to the general assembly by December 15, 2000,
1 14 relating to endangered and threatened fish, plants, and
1 15 wildlife. The bill provides that the report shall include a
1 16 description of the methodology employed by the department in
1 17 compiling the state list and shall include a list of any fish,
1 18 plants, and wildlife currently included on the state list.
