PAG LIN 1 1 Amend the amendment, S-5622, to House File 2549, as 1 2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as 1 3 follows: 1 4 #1. Page 11, by inserting after line 37 the 1 5 following: 1 6 " . MODEL OUTREACH PROGRAM FOR SERVICES FOR 1 7 YOUTH WITH DISABILITIES. 1 8 For continuation of a model outreach program for 1 9 services for youth with disabilities: 1 10 .................................................. $ 84,000 1 11 Funds appropriated in this subsection shall be 1 12 distributed to the Grant Wood area education agency 1 13 for continuation of a model outreach program for 1 14 services for youth with disabilities, called the high 1 15 school high-tech program, the purpose of which is to 1 16 improve services for children and youth with 1 17 disabilities through partnerships between educational 1 18 entities, nonprofit corporations, the business 1 19 community, and students with disabilities and their 1 20 families. The area education agency shall work with 1 21 community stakeholders on a plan to make the program 1 22 self-supporting by July 1, 2001. In a report which 1 23 the Grant Wood area education agency shall share with 1 24 the other 14 area education agencies in the state, the 1 25 Grant Wood area education agency shall assemble a 1 26 history of the program; a description of the program's 1 27 benefits for students and their parents, educational 1 28 entities, and the local nonprofit and business 1 29 communities; and shall describe processes by which 1 30 other area education agencies can duplicate the 1 31 success of the program." 1 32 #2.
