1 3 #1. Page 4, by inserting after line 24 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. . NEW SECTION. 296.8 TAX EXEMPTION.
1 6 Any bonds or notes issued by a school district for
1 7 school infrastructure purposes shall be exempt from
1 8 taxation by this state and the interest on the bonds
1 9 or notes shall be exempt from state income tax. For
1 10 the purposes of this section, school infrastructure
1 11 purposes shall refer to the purposes specified in
1 12 section 296.1."
1 13 #2. Page 9, by inserting after line 7 the
1 14 following:
1 15 "Sec. . Section 422.7, Code 1999, is amended by
1 16 adding the following new subsection:
1 17 NEW SUBSECTION. 35. Subtract interest earned on
1 18 bonds and notes issued by a school district for school
1 19 infrastructure purposes as provided in section 296.8."
1 20 #3. Title page, line 7, by inserting after the
1 21 word "and" the following: "an exemption for bonds
1 22 issued for school infrastructure purposes and".
