1 19 A House Resolution congratulating the Wartburg College
1 20 Wrestling Team.
1 21 WHEREAS, the citizens of Iowa take pleasure in
1 22 congratulating the Wartburg College Wrestling Team for
1 23 winning the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championship;
1 24 and
1 25 WHEREAS, the citizens of Iowa are greatly pleased
1 26 the Wartburg College Wrestling Team won their seventh
1 27 straight Iowa Conference Championship and their second
1 28 NCAA Division III Wrestling Championship in four
1 29 years; and
1 30 WHEREAS, the fans of the Wartburg College Wrestling
2 1 Team wish to applaud the individual wrestlers for
2 2 their spectacular season this year, especially the
2 3 following wrestlers for their performance at the NCAA
2 4 Tournament: Zac Weiglen placing first in the 125 lbs.
2 5 weight class, Ben Shane placing first in the 149 lbs.
2 6 weight class, Nick Mitchell placing second in the 141
2 7 lbs. weight class, Stas Khatin placing third in the
2 8 133 lbs. weight class, Josh Dodd placing third in the
2 9 197 lbs. weight class, Brandon Holmberg placing fourth
2 10 in the 184 lbs. weight class, Ryan Hess placing fifth
2 11 in the 157 lbs. weight class, and Kris O'Rear for
2 12 placing sixth in the heavyweight class; and
2 13 WHEREAS, the citizens of Iowa wish to honor
2 14 Wartburg College Wrestling Coach Jim Miller for his
2 15 coaching and his integrity which has been an
2 16 inspiration to both his wrestlers and the fans of
2 17 Wartburg College Wrestling; NOW THEREFORE,
2 18 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
2 19 That Coach Jim Miller and the Wartburg Wrestling Team
2 20 be commended for their successful season and be
2 21 thanked for the honor and excitement they brought to
2 22 the State of Iowa.
