1 20 A House Resolution congratulating the Drake Women's
1 21 Basketball Team.
1 22 WHEREAS, the fans of Drake University and the
1 23 citizens of Iowa are greatly pleased that the Drake
1 24 Women's Basketball Team had a spectacular season in
1 25 compiling a 21-10 record in its third consecutive 20-
1 26 victory season; and
1 27 WHEREAS, the Drake Women's Basketball Team thrilled
1 28 all fans and all Iowans by winning three games in and
1 29 reaching the final four of the WNIT Tournament; and
1 30 WHEREAS, the Drake Women's Basketball Team
2 1 delighted the citizens of Iowa by finishing second in
2 2 the Missouri Valley Conference with a conference
2 3 record of 14-4; and
2 4 WHEREAS, the citizens of Iowa applaud the Drake
2 5 Women's Coach Lisa Bluder for her outstanding coaching
2 6 and for being a fine role model for her players and
2 7 the fans; NOW THEREFORE,
2 8 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
2 9 That Coach Lisa Bluder and the Drake Women's
2 10 Basketball Team be congratulated on their successful
2 11 season and be thanked for the honor and excitement
2 12 they brought to the State of Iowa.
