1 20 A House Resolution congratulating the University
1 21 of Iowa Hawkeyes Wrestling Team.
1 22 WHEREAS, the citizens of Iowa are thrilled that the
1 23 University of Iowa Wrestling Team, in Head Coach Jim
1 24 Zalesky's second season, won the NCAA Division I
1 25 Wrestling Tournament; and
1 26 WHEREAS, the fans of the University of Iowa
1 27 Wrestling Team wish to applaud the individual
1 28 wrestlers of the team for their stunning season this
1 29 year, especially the following wrestlers for their
1 30 performance at the NCAA Tournament: Doug Schwab for
2 1 placing first in the 141 lbs. weight class, T. J.
2 2 Williams for placing first in the 149 lbs. weight
2 3 class, Lee Fulhart for placing second in the 197 lbs.
2 4 weight class, Eric Juergens for placing third in the
2 5 133 lbs. weight class, and Jamie Heidt for placing
2 6 eighth in the 157 lbs. weight class; and
2 7 WHEREAS, the citizens of Iowa also wish to
2 8 congratulate the University of Iowa Head Wrestling
2 9 Coach Jim Zalesky for an outstanding coaching
2 10 performance and his second straight NCAA Division I
2 11 Wrestling Tournament Championship in this, his second
2 12 season as Head Coach; NOW THEREFORE,
2 13 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES,
2 14 That Coach Jim Zalesky and the University of Iowa
2 15 Wrestling Team be congratulated on their successful
2 16 season and be thanked for the honor and excitement
2 17 they brought to the State of Iowa.
