1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS SECURITY ANALYSIS –
1 2 REPORT. The department of corrections, in consultation with
1 3 the board of parole, shall conduct a study concerning safety
1 4 and security issues for the employees of the central office of
1 5 the department and of the board of parole and its employees.
1 6 In conducting its analysis, the department shall consider and
1 7 make recommendations concerning possible security improvements
1 8 and other measures that, if implemented, would improve the
1 9 safety and security of employees of the central office of the
1 10 department and of the board of parole and its employees, as
1 11 well as the cost of such improvements or measures. The
1 12 department shall submit a report concerning the results of its
1 13 findings and recommendations to the general assembly by
1 14 January 1, 2001.
1 15 EXPLANATION
1 16 This bill requires the department of corrections to conduct
1 17 a study concerning safety and security for employees of the
1 18 central office of the department and the board of parole, and
1 19 to report to the general assembly concerning its findings and
1 20 recommendations by January 1, 2001.
