  1  4 CHANGING THE NAME OF THE FORESTS AND FORESTRY DIVISION OF THE
  1  5    DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES TO THE FORESTS AND PRAIRIES
  1  6    DIVISION AND EXPANDING ITS RESPONSIBILITIES.

  1  8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

  1 10    Section 1.  Section 455A.7, subsection 1, paragraph b, Code
  1 11 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1 12    b.  Forests and forestry prairies division which is
  1 13 responsible for administering programs relating to state
  1 14 forests, and forestry, and prairie management assistance to
  1 15 private and public landowners, and for the operation of the
  1 16 state nursery under section 456A.20.
  1 17    Sec. 2.  Section 456A.21, subsection 1, Code Supplement
  1 18 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1 19    1.  A forestry management and enhancement fund is created
  1 20 in the state treasury under the control of the department's
  1 21 forests and forestry prairies division created in section
  1 22 455A.7.  The fund is composed of moneys deposited into the
  1 23 fund pursuant to section 456A.20, moneys appropriated by the
  1 24 general assembly, and moneys available to and obtained or
  1 25 accepted by the division or the department from the United
  1 26 States or private sources for placement in the fund.
