1 4 PROVIDING FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A SCOPE OF PRACTICE
1 5 REVIEW COMMITTEE REGARDING THE PROPOSED LICENSURE OF
1 6 CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL MIDWIVES.

1 8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA:

1 10 Section 1. SCOPE OF PRACTICE REVIEW COMMITTEE FOR
1 11 CERTIFIED PROFESSIONAL MIDWIVES. The Iowa department of
1 12 public health, pursuant to the scope of practice review
1 13 committee pilot project established in 1997 Iowa Acts, chapter
1 14 203, section 6, shall establish a scope of practice review
1 15 committee to conduct a review of a request for the
1 16 establishment of licensure requirements for certified
1 17 professional midwives. The department shall submit a report
1 18 to the general assembly by January 10, 2000, containing the
1 19 review committee's findings and recommendations.
