1 1 Section 1. NEW SECTION. 331.662 PATROL VEHICLES –
1 2 INSCRIPTION.
1 3 A county sheriff may adopt a policy which allows sheriff's
1 4 patrol vehicles to be inscribed with the sheriff's or a deputy
1 5 sheriff's name. However, such an inscription shall only be
1 6 made if agreed to by the sheriff or deputy sheriff to whom a
1 7 patrol vehicle is assigned.
1 8 EXPLANATION
1 9 This bill creates a new Code section allowing county
1 10 sheriffs to adopt a policy which gives the sheriff and deputy
1 11 sheriffs in the county the option of having their names
1 12 inscribed on their patrol vehicles. However, such an
1 13 inscription shall only be made if agreed to by the sheriff or
1 14 deputy sheriff to whom a patrol vehicle is assigned.
