  1  1    Section 1.  Section 600.6, subsection 5, Code 1999, is
  1  2 amended by striking the subsection.
  1  3    Sec. 2.  Section 600.13, subsection 6, Code 1999, is
  1  4 amended by striking the subsection.  
  1  5                           EXPLANATION
  1  6    This bill eliminates references to a no longer existing
  1  7 federal requirement that an adoption information form
  1  8 completed by the petitioner containing data specified under
  1  9 federal regulations be attached to an adoption petition and
  1 10 attached to a certified copy of the adoption decree.
