1 1 Amend the amendment, H-8930, to House File 2555 as
1 2 follows:
1 3 1. Page 10, by striking lines 28 through 41, and
1 4 inserting the following:
1 5 "Sec. . EMERGENCY RULEMAKING. In adopting
1 6 emergency rules under this Act, the department shall
1 7 publish a notice of intended action no later than June
1 8 14, 2000. Notwithstanding section 17A.4, subsection
1 9 1, paragraph "b", any opportunity for oral
1 10 presentation concerning this notice shall be requested
1 11 by June 19, 2000, and is exempted from the specified
1 12 publication and timing requirements. Any such
1 13 opportunity may be held only in the locale from which
1 14 the request originated. Notwithstanding section
1 15 17A.4, subsection 1, paragraph "b", any written
1 16 comment must be received no later than June 23, 2000.
1 17 Notwithstanding section 17A.5, subsection 2, these
1 18 rules shall be adopted prior to the expiration of
1 19 thirty-five days following the publication of a notice
1 20 of intended action and shall be effective on July 1,
1 21 2000."
1 22 #2. Page 10, line 49, by inserting after the
1 23 figure "2000." the following: "Section 11 of this
1 24 Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
1 25 effect upon enactment."
1 26 #3. By renumbering as necessary.
