1 3 #1. Page 6, by inserting after line 24 the
1 4 following:
1 5 "Sec. 100. TEMPORARY TRANSFER OF RISE FUND MONEYS.
1 6 Notwithstanding provisions to the contrary in chapter
1 7 315, if the state transportation commission receives
1 8 and files a letter from the director of transportation
1 9 certifying that the state department of
1 10 transportation's cash flow funding may be inadequate
1 11 to meet anticipated road construction costs which
1 12 arise during the period beginning on the effective
1 13 date of this Act through June 30, 2001, the commission
1 14 may authorize the temporary transfer of funds from the
1 15 revitalize Iowa's sound economy (RISE) fund to the
1 16 primary road fund. Transferred funds shall be repaid
1 17 to the RISE fund within six months of transfer. The
1 18 commission shall manage the RISE fund to ensure that
1 19 funds will be available to meet contract obligations
1 20 on approved RISE projects.
1 21 Sec. . EFFECTIVE DATE. Section 100 of this
1 22 Act, being deemed of immediate importance, takes
1 23 effect upon enactment."
1 24 #2. Title page, line 7, by inserting after the
1 25 word "moneys" the following: ", and providing an
1 26 effective date".
1 27 #3. By renumbering as necessary.
