1 2 #1. Page 9, by inserting after line 16 the
1 3 following:
1 4 "Sec. . INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES –
1 5 COMPETITIVE BIDS.
1 6 1. Notwithstanding any contrary provision of law,
1 7 the department of agriculture and land stewardship and
1 8 the department of natural resources may execute
1 9 contracts with a person to provide information
1 10 technology services, including installing,
1 11 maintaining, or upgrading computers, computer
1 12 networks, and related peripheral equipment which would
1 13 otherwise be provided by the department of general
1 14 services.
1 15 2. The department of agriculture and land
1 16 stewardship and the department of natural resources
1 17 shall not execute a contract with a person pursuant to
1 18 subsection 1, unless the person submits a qualified
1 19 proposal to the department bidding an amount which is
1 20 less than is charged for comparable services provided
1 21 by the department of general services. The department
1 22 of agriculture and land stewardship and the department
1 23 of natural resources may consult with the department
1 24 of general services in order to effectively administer
1 25 this section."
