  1  1    Amend House File 2393 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by inserting after line 6 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 455B.203A, subsection 3,
  1  5 paragraph b, Code Supplement 1999, is amended to read
  1  6 as follows:
  1  7    b.  A person required to be certified as a
  1  8 confinement site manure applicator must be certified
  1  9 by the department every three years.  The However, if
  1 10 the person is exempt from paying the certification fee
  1 11 because a family member has paid a certification fee
  1 12 as provided in this section, the person's
  1 13 certification shall expire on the same date that the
  1 14 paid family member's certification expires.  A person
  1 15 shall be certified after completing an educational
  1 16 program which shall consist of an examination required
  1 17 to be passed by the person or two hours of continuing
  1 18 instructional courses which the person must attend
  1 19 each year in lieu of passing the examination."
