1 2 #1. Page 1, by striking lines 9 through 14 and
1 3 inserting the following: "commission shall jointly
1 4 develop an application procedure, distribute
1 5 applications, and publicize the program to school
1 6 districts, accredited nonpublic schools, county
1 7 commissions of veterans affairs, veterans
1 8 organizations, and state, regional, and local media.
1 9 All honorably".
1 10 #2. Page 1, line 19, by striking the word "The".
1 11 #3. Page 1, by striking lines 20 through 30 and
1 12 inserting the following: "Upon approval of an
1 13 application, the department shall issue an honorary
1 14 high school diploma for an eligible veteran. The
1 15 diploma shall indicate the veteran's school of
1 16 attendance. The department and the commission shall
1 17 work together to provide school districts, schools,
1 18 communities, and county commissions of veterans
1 19 affairs with information about hosting a diploma
1 20 ceremony on or around Veterans Day. The diploma shall
1 21 be mailed to the veteran or, if the veteran is
1 22 deceased, to the veteran's family."
