  1  1    Amend House File 2172 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, by striking lines 3 through 11 and
  1  3 inserting the following:
  1  4    "3.  a.  Subsection 2 does not apply to the state
  1  5 or a political subdivision of the state when in the
  1  6 process of selecting a any of the following:
  1  7    (1)  A candidate for employment as a peace officer
  1  8 or.
  1  9    (2)  A candidate for employment as a corrections
  1 10 officer.
  1 11    (3)  An applicant for any position within a law
  1 12 enforcement agency with access to confidential
  1 13 information or funds in connection with employment.
  1 14    b.  Polygraph examinations under this subsection
  1 15 shall adhere to the published antidiscrimination
  1 16 policy of the state or political subdivision
  1 17 conducting the examination."
  1 18    #2.  Title page, line 2, by striking the words "or
  1 19 correctional facility".
