  1  1    Amend House File 782 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 14, by inserting after line 3 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec.    .  Section 514I.5, subsection 7, paragraph
  1  5 d, Code 1999, is amended to read as follows:
  1  6    d.  Develop, with the assistance of the department,
  1  7 an outreach plan for implementation by the
  1  8 administrative contractor, and provide for periodic
  1  9 assessment of the effectiveness of the outreach plan.
  1 10 The plan shall provide outreach to families of
  1 11 children likely to be eligible for assistance under
  1 12 the program or for other health insurance coverage or
  1 13 care programs, to inform them of the availability of
  1 14 and to assist the families in enrolling children in
  1 15 the program.  The outreach efforts shall may include,
  1 16 but are not limited to, a comprehensive statewide
  1 17 media campaign, solicitation of cooperation from
  1 18 programs, agencies, and other persons who are likely
  1 19 to have contact with eligible children, including but
  1 20 not limited to those associated with the educational
  1 21 system, and the development of community plans for
  1 22 outreach and marketing.
  1 23    Sec.    .  Section 514I.7, subsection 2, paragraph
  1 24 a, Code 1999, is amended by striking the paragraph."
  1 25    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
