  1  1    Amend Senate File 445, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the Senate, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 2, by striking lines 1 through 13 and
  1  4 inserting the following:
  1  5    "Sec.    .  Section 99D.9, subsection 6, Code 1999,
  1  6 is amended to read as follows:
  1  7    6.  A licensee may shall not loan to any person
  1  8 money or any other thing of value or permit a
  1  9 financial institution, vendor, or other person to loan
  1 10 money on the licensed premises on the basis of a
  1 11 credit card or similar instrument in person or through
  1 12 an electronic or mechanical device including but not
  1 13 limited to a satellite terminal as defined in section
  1 14 527.2 for the purpose of permitting that person to
  1 15 wager on any race or game of chance.  The use of a
  1 16 check or a debit card with overdraft protection is not
  1 17 prohibited by this subsection."

  1 19    #3.  By striking page 6, line 32, through page 7,
  1 20 line 9, and inserting the following:
  1 21    "Sec.    .  Section 99F.7, subsection 9, Code 1999,
  1 22 is amended to read as follows:
  1 23    9.  A licensee shall not loan to any person money
  1 24 or any other thing of value or permit a financial
  1 25 institution, vendor, or other person to loan money on
  1 26 the licensed premises on the basis of a credit card or
  1 27 similar instrument in person or through an electronic
  1 28 or mechanical device including but not limited to a
  1 29 satellite terminal as defined in section 527.2 for the
  1 30 purpose of permitting that person to wager on any game
  1 31 of chance.  The use of a check or a debit card with
  1 32 overdraft protection is not prohibited by this
  1 33 subsection."
