Senator Douglas asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw amendment S-5616, filed by her on April 9, 1998, to pages 1 and 2 of the bill. Senator Bartz took the chair at 5:19 p.m. Senator Judge offered amendment S-5809, filed by her from the floor to pages 1 and 2 of the bill, moved its adoption, and requested a record roll call. On the question "Shall amendment S-5809 be adopted?" (H.F. 2538), the vote was: Rule 23, requiring all Senators present to vote except those who express a conflict of interest, was invoked.
