  Senator Hansen offered amendment S-5665, filed by Senators
  Hansen, et al., from the floor to page 78 of the bill.

  Senator Hansen asked and received unanimous consent that
  action on amendment S-5665 be deferred.

  Senator Gronstal offered amendment S-5663, filed by him from
  the floor to pages 79 and 80 of the bill, moved its adoption, and
  requested a non-record roll call.

  The ayes were 20, nays 26.

  Amendment S-5663 lost.

  Senator Fink offered amendment S-5625, filed by him on April 13,
  1998, to page 80 of the bill.

  Senator Gronstal asked that action on amendment S-5625 and
  House File 2496 be deferred.

  Senator Gronstal withdrew his request.

  Senator Fink moved the adoption of amendment S-5625.

  Amendment S-5625 was adopted by a voice vote.

  Senator Halvorson offered amendment S-5664, filed by Senators
  Halvorson and Hammond from the floor to page 82 of the bill, moved
  its adoption, and requested a record roll call.

  On the question "Shall amendment S-5664 be adopted?" (H.F. 2496),
  the vote was:
