  Senator Schuerer offered amendment S-5450, filed by Senators

  moved its adoption.

  Amendment S-5450 lost by a voice vote.

  Senator Schuerer asked and received unanimous consent to
  withdraw amendment S-5449, filed by him on March 31, 1998, to
  page 2 of the bill.

  Senator Boettger moved that the bill be read the last time now and
  placed upon its passage, which motion prevailed by a voice vote, and
  the bill was read the last time.
