  The Senate stood at ease at 4:49 p.m. until the fall of the gavel for
  the purpose of a party caucus.

  The Senate resumed session at 5:11 p.m., President Kramer
  presiding.

  LEAVE OF ABSENCE

  Leave of absence was granted as follows:

  Senator Szymoniak for the remainder of the day, on request of Senator
  Gronstal.

  The Senate resumed consideration of House File 299 and
  amendment S-5044, previously deferred.

  Senator King moved the adoption of amendment S-5044.

  A record roll call was requested.
