  Senator King offered amendment S-3851 filed by him on April 29,
  1997, striking everything after the enacting clause and to the title
  page of the bill.

  Senator King asked and received unanimous consent that action
  on amendment S-3851 be deferred.

  Senator Vilsack offered amendment S-5004 filed by Senators
  Vilsack and Gronstal on January 12, 1998, to page 1 of amendment
  S-3851 and moved its adoption.

  A record roll call was requested.
