  The Senate met in regular session at 10:04 a.m., President Kramer
  presiding.

  Prayer was offered by the Honorable Nancy Boettger, member of
  the Senate from Shelby County, Harlan, Iowa.

  The Journal of Friday, January 16, 1998, was approved.

  REQUEST WITHDRAWN

  Senator Bartz asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw
  his request of April 29, 1997, that House File 202 be withdrawn
  from further consideration by the Senate.
