MESSAGES FROM THE SENATE
The following messages were received from the Senate:
Mr. Speaker: I am directed to inform your honorable body that
the Senate has on January 21, 1998, amended and passed the
following bill in which the concurrence of the House is asked:
House File 8, a bill for an act relating to the funding of state
mandates.
Also: That the Senate has on January 21, 1998, passed the
following bill in which the concurrence of the House is asked:
Senate File 2029, a bill for an act relating to the composition
of the board of podiatry examiners.
Also: That the Senate has on January 21, 1998, amended the House
amendment, concurred in the House amendment as amended, and
adopted the following resolution in which the concurrence of the
House is asked:
Senate Concurrent Resolution 1, a concurrent resolution relating
to the compensation of chaplains, officers and employees of the
seventy-seventh general assembly.

Fallon of Polk asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw
House Concurrent Resolution 17 from further consideration by the
House.

Van Fossen of Scott asked and received unanimous consent to
withdraw House File 157 from further consideration by the House.
HOUSE FILE 98 WITHDRAWN
Jacobs of Polk asked and received unanimous consent to withdraw
