  1  5 RELATING TO THE COMPOSITION OF THE BOARD OF PODIATRY
  1  6    EXAMINERS.

  1  8 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF IOWA
  1  9 
  1 10    Section 1.  Section 147.14, subsection 1, Code 1997, is
  1 11 amended to read as follows:
  1 12    1.  For podiatry, barbering, and social work, three members
  1 13 each, licensed to practice the profession for which the board
  1 14 conducts examinations, and two members who are not licensed to
  1 15 practice the profession for which the board conducts
  1 16 examinations and who shall represent the general public.  A
  1 17 quorum shall consist of a majority of the members of the
  1 18 board.
  1 19    Sec. 2.  Section 147.14, Code 1997, is amended by adding
  1 20 the following new subsection:
  1 21    NEW SUBSECTION.  1A.  For podiatry examiners, five members
  1 22 licensed to practice podiatry and two members who are not
  1 23 licensed to practice podiatry and who shall represent the
  1 24 general public.  A majority of the members of the board shall
  1 25 constitute a quorum.
