  DEFERRAL OF GOVERNOR'S APPOINTMENT
  (Individual Confirmation Calendar)

  Senator Deluhery called up the appointment of Diane E. Palmer as
  a member of the Board of Mortuary Science Examiners, placed on the
  Individual Confirmation Calendar on March 25, 1997, and found on
  page 795 of the Senate Journal.

  Senator Halvorson asked and received unanimous consent that
  action on the appointment of Diane E. Palmer be deferred.
