  1088 JOURNAL OF THE SENATE 87th Day
  The bill having received a constitutional majority was declared to
  have passed the Senate and the title was agreed to.

  UNFINISHED BUSINESS CALENDAR
  (Deferred March 31, 1997)

  House File 475

  The Senate resumed consideration of House File 475, a bill for an
  act relating to the acquisition of a branch of a savings association by a
  newly chartered bank and providing an effective date, deferred March
  31, 1997.

  Senator Redfern asked and received unanimous consent that action
  on S-3311 filed by Senators Redfern, et al., on April 1, 1997, to page
  1 of the bill be deferred.

  Senator Redfern offered amendment S-3312 filed by Senators
  Redfern, et al., on April 1, 1997, to page 1 of the bill.

  Senator Flynn raised the point of order that amendment S-3312
  was not germane to the bill.

  The Chair ruled the point not well taken and amendment S-3312
  in order.

  Senator Redfern moved the adoption of amendment S-3312 and
  requested a record roll call.

  On the question "Shall amendment S-3312 be adopted?" (H.F. 475)
  the vote was:
