  House File 687, a bill for an act relating to statutory references to
  the Iowa beef industry council and increasing an excise tax on beef
  cattle upon a referendum.

  This bill was read first time and passed on file.

  ALSO: That the House has on March 24, 1997, concurred in the Senate
  amendment
  and passed the following bill in which the concurrence of the House was
  asked:

  House File 388, a bill for an act reducing the state individual
  income tax rates by fifteen percent and including an effective date
  provision.
