  A communication was received announcing that on February 10,
  1997, the governor approved and transmitted to the secretary of state
  the following bill:

  SENATE FILE 35, a bill for an act eliminating the inheritance tax on
  property
  passing to parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and other lineal
  ascendants,
  children including legally adopted children and biological children entitled
  to inherit
  under the laws of this state, stepchildren, and grandchildren,
  great-grandchildren, and
  other lineal descendants of the decedent and providing an applicability date
  provision.

  Final Bill Action: SENATE FILE 61, a bill for an act relating to the
  membership of a
  joint 911 service board.

  resolve
  inconsistencies and conflicts, update ongoing provisions, or remove
  ambiguities, and
  providing effective and retroactive applicability dates.
