Weigel of Chickasaw offered the following amendment H-1525, previously deferred, filed by him and moved its adoption: H-1525 1 Amend House File 710 as follows: 2 1. Page 2, by inserting after line 8 the 3 following: 4 "In addition to the funds appropriated in this 5 subsection, $500,000 shall be transferred from funds 6 appropriated to the department of human services for 7 medical assistance for the fiscal year beginning July 8 1, 1997, and ending June 30, 1998. The $500,000 9 transferred shall be allocated from a $1,088,839 10 decrease in medical assistance expenditures resulting 11 from a reduced estimate of the number of bed days 12 utilized by nursing facility residents because of the 13 expansion of case management services, prior to the 14 reversion of the $1,088,839 to the general fund of the 15 state." Roll call was requested by Weigel of Chickasaw and Millage of Scott. On the question "Shall amendment H-1525 be adopted?"
