IMMEDIATE MESSAGE
Siegrist of Pottawattamie asked and received unanimous consent
that House File 125 be immediately messaged to the Senate.
Ways and Means Calendar
House File 126, a bill for an act relating to the state sales
and use tax exemption on certain computers, machinery,
equipment, and fuel, was taken up for consideration.
Chapman of Linn offered the following amendment H-1011 filed by
her and moved its adoption:

H-1011

 1     Amend House File 126 as follows:
 2     1.  Page 2, line 6, by striking the words "and
 3   includes" and inserting the following:  ", nonprofit
 4   organizations, and".
 5     2.  Page 2, line 8, by striking the words "and
 6   manufacturers" and inserting the following:  ",
 7   manufacturers, and nonprofit organizations,".
 8     3.  Page 2, line 9, by striking the words "and
 9   nonprofit organizations".
Amendment H-1011 lost.
Van Fossen of Scott moved that the bill be read a last time now
and placed upon its passage which motion prevailed and the bill
was read a last time.
Under the provision of Rule 76, Weigel of Chickasaw refrained
from voting.
