1 1 Section 1. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. There is appropriated
1 2 from the general fund of the state to the department of
1 3 education for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998, and
1 4 ending June 30, 1999, the following amount, or so much thereof
1 5 as may be necessary, to be used for the purpose designated:
1 6 COMMUNITY COLLEGES
1 7 For staff development for licensed professional staff at
1 8 the community colleges:

1 27 EXPLANATION
1 28 This bill appropriates $2 million to the department of
1 29 education for staff development for licensed professional
1 30 staff at the community colleges. The bill provides for the
1 31 allocation of the moneys based upon the formula used to
1 32 distribute general state financial aid to the community
1 33 colleges.
