1 1 Section 1. Section 455G.11, Code 1997, is amended by
1 2 adding the following new subsection:
1 3 NEW SUBSECTION. 12. A person engaged in the wholesale or
1 4 retail sale of petroleum shall receive a discount of eight
1 5 percent on that person's annual underground storage tank
1 6 insurance premium for all tanks located at a site which meets
1 7 all of the following conditions:
1 8 a. The person maintains a collection device for the
1 9 purpose of storing waste oil filters.
1 10 b. The person accepts waste oil filters from the general
1 11 public.
1 12 c. The person posts a notice at the site in a form and
1 13 manner approved by the administrator advertising that the
1 14 person will accept waste oil filters from the general public.
1 15 d. The person registers an end user, other than a sanitary
1 16 landfill, of the waste oil filters.
1 17 EXPLANATION
1 18 This bill provides that a person engaged in the wholesale
1 19 or retail sale of petroleum shall receive a discount of 8
1 20 percent on that person's annual underground storage tank
1 21 insurance premium for all tanks at a site if the person
1 22 maintains a collection device for storing waste oil filters,
1 23 accepts waste oil filters from the general public, posts a
1 24 notice at the site advertising that the person will accept
1 25 waste oil filters from the general public, and registers an
1 26 end user of the waste oil filters, other than a sanitary
1 27 landfill.
