  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-5568, to House File 2282, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 5, line 43, by striking the words "sixty
  1  5 percent" and inserting the following:  "a majority".
  1  6    #2.  Page 5, by striking lines 45 through 50 and
  1  7 inserting the following:
  1  8    "2.  Both taxes may be repealed or the rate of
  1  9 either tax increased or decreased after an election at
  1 10 which a majority of those voting on the question of
  1 11 repeal or rate change favored the repeal or rate
  1 12 change."
  1 13    #3.  page 6, line 22, by striking the words "sixty
  1 14 percent" and inserting the following:  "a majority".
