  1  1    Amend the amendment, S-5556, to House File 667, as
  1  2 amended, passed, and reprinted by the House, as
  1  3 follows:
  1  4    #1.  Page 5, by inserting after line 30 the
  1  5 following:
  1  6    "#   .  Page 29, by inserting after line 15 the
  1  7 following:
  1  8    "Sec. ___.  Section 96.6, subsection 3, unnumbered
  1  9 paragraph 2, Code 1997, is amended to read as follows:
  1 10    Appeals from the initial determination shall be
  1 11 heard by an administrative law judge employed by the
  1 12 department division of administrative hearings created
  1 13 by section 10A.801.  An administrative law judge's
  1 14 decision may be appealed by any party to the
  1 15 employment appeal board created in section 10A.601.
  1 16 The decision of the appeal board is final agency
  1 17 action and an appeal of the decision shall be made
  1 18 directly to the district court.""
  1 19    #2.  By renumbering as necessary.
