  1  1    Amend Senate File 2360 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 15, by inserting after line 16 the
  1  3 following:
  1  4    "Sec. 201.  Section 422B.10, subsection 4,
  1  5 unnumbered paragraph 1, Code Supplement 1997, is
  1  6 amended to read as follows:
  1  7    Twenty-five Except as provided in subsection 4A,
  1  8 twenty-five percent of each county's account shall be
  1  9 remitted based on the sum of property tax dollars
  1 10 levied by the board of supervisors if the tax was
  1 11 imposed in the unincorporated areas and each city in
  1 12 the county where the tax was imposed during the three-
  1 13 year period beginning July 1, 1982, and ending June
  1 14 30, 1985, as follows:
  1 15    Sec. 202.  Section 422B.10, Code Supplement 1997,
  1 16 is amended by adding the following new subsection:
  1 17    NEW SUBSECTION.  4A.  For counties that first
  1 18 impose the tax on or after July 1, 1998 twenty-five
  1 19 percent of each county's account shall be remitted
  1 20 based on the sum of property tax dollars levied by the
  1 21 board of supervisors if the tax was imposed in the
  1 22 unincorporated areas and each city in the county where
  1 23 the tax was imposed during the three-year period
  1 24 beginning July 1, 1992, and ending June 30, 1995, as
  1 25 follows:
  1 26    a.  To the board of supervisors a pro rata share
  1 27 based upon the percentage of the total property tax
  1 28 dollars levied by the board of supervisors during the
  1 29 above three-year period.
  1 30    b.  To each city council where the tax was imposed
  1 31 a pro rata share based upon the percentage of property
  1 32 tax dollars levied by the city during the above three-
  1 33 year period of the above total property tax dollars
  1 34 levied by the board of supervisors and each city where
  1 35 the tax was imposed during the above three-year
  1 36 period."
  1 37    #2.  Page 38, by inserting after line 10 the
  1 38 following:
  1 39    "___.  Sections 201 and 202 of this Act, amending
  1 40 section 422B.10, take effect July 1, 1998."
