  1  1    Amend Senate File 2283 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  By striking page 1, line 33, through page 2,
  1  3 line 7, and inserting the following:
  1  4    "(8)  Diabetes outpatient self-management training
  1  5 and education provided by a health professional
  1  6 certified by the national certification board for
  1  7 diabetes educators or a licensed dietitian, nurse,
  1  8 pharmacist, or other licensed health professional who
  1  9 may provide training and education under a program
  1 10 which meets the standards of diabetes self-management
  1 11 education as established by the American diabetes
  1 12 association or the Iowa department of public health."
