  1  1    Amend House File 655, as amended, passed, and
  1  2 reprinted by the House, as follows:
  1  3    #1.  Page 14, by inserting after line 24 the
  1  4 following:
  1  5    "The division of industrial services shall not
  1  6 reduce the number of scheduled hearings of contested
  1  7 cases or eliminate the venue for such hearings, as
  1  8 established by the division for the period beginning
  1  9 January 1, 1997, and ending January 20, 1998.  The
  1 10 division shall also establish a substantially similar
  1 11 schedule for such hearings for the period beginning
  1 12 January 20, 1998, and ending June 30, 1998.  The
  1 13 division shall report to the legislative fiscal bureau
  1 14 any modification of the established schedule, or any
  1 15 changes which the division determines are necessary in
  1 16 establishing the schedule for the period beginning
  1 17 January 20, 1998, and ending June 30, 1998."
