  1  1    Amend Senate File 246 as follows:
  1  2    #1.  Page 1, line 5, by inserting after the word
  1  3 "vehicle" the following:  ", other than a snowmobile
  1  4 or all-terrain vehicle used exclusively as a farm
  1  5 implement,".
  1  6    #2.  Page 1, line 8, by inserting after the word
  1  7 "vehicle." the following:  "The owner of a snowmobile
  1  8 or all-terrain vehicle used exclusively as a farm
  1  9 implement may obtain a certificate of title."
  1 10    #3.  Page 1, line 34, by striking the word "shall"
  1 11 and inserting the following:  "may".
  1 12    #4.  Page 2, line 26, by striking the word "A" and
  1 13 inserting the following:  "Once titled, a".
  1 14    #5.  Page 3, lines 28 through 30, by striking the
  1 15 words "used only to offset the costs of administering
  1 16 the certificate of title provisions of this chapter"
  1 17 and inserting the following:  "deposited into the
  1 18 general fund of the county".
  1 19    #6.  Page 4, line 25, by striking the words "used
  1 20 only to offset the costs associated with this section"
  1 21 and inserting the following:  "deposited into the
  1 22 general fund of the county".
  1 23    #7.  Page 6, by inserting after line 17, the
  1 24 following:  
  1 25                      "DIVISION IV
  1 26                     EFFECTIVE DATE
  1 27    Sec.    .  EFFECTIVE DATE.  This Act takes effect
  1 28 January 1, 1998."
  1 29    #8.  Title page, line 3, by striking the word
  1 30 "and".
  1 31    #9.  Title page, line 4, by inserting after the
  1 32 word "registration" the following:  ", and providing
  1 33 an effective date".
  1 34    #10.  By renumbering as necessary.
