House Study Bill 590

  1  1    Section 1.  Section 257.6, subsection 1, Code 1997, is
  1  2 amended by adding the following new paragraph:
  1  3    NEW PARAGRAPH.  g.  Notwithstanding paragraph "a", for a
  1  4 budget year beginning on or after July 1, 2001, pupils
  1  5 enrolled in kindergarten on less than a full-time basis shall
  1  6 be counted as five-tenths of one pupil.  
  1  7                           EXPLANATION 
  1  8    This bill reduces state aid for pupils who attend
  1  9 kindergarten less than a full day.
